Expert Adult Social Care Advice, Advocacy & Complaints Handling
(we cover all of England)

Better than any community care solicitor
About us
Thousands of vulnerable adults, and their families, rely on their local Council, care home or homecare provider to provide the care and support they need. Decisions that are made by Councils are often complex and families are left wondering what they can do to ensure they and their loved ones receive the best care possible and are not being charged too much. But when care services fail or are cut, it can leave you vulnerable and at risk. As a service user, if a dispute arises with the Council or a care home, it will often be difficult to find out and understand what should happen and it can be daunting to try and challenge the Council or a care provider to ensure a loved one receives the correct care and the right decisions are being made.
I decided to found Care Concern Solutions after having worked for 15 years as a national independent Adult Social Care Specialist Complaints Investigator.

My extensive experience, investigating over 800 adult social care complaints against dozens of Councils throughout England, has given me a unique insight into the way Councils and Care Providers apply adult social care legislation and guidance, as well as the way through which they make decisions with regards to adult social care service users, and where, how and why things go wrong. As such, we will be able to provide you with expert advice to ensure you and your family receive the support you are entitled to.
We work with our clients to understand the problem(s) they face and provide:
-
Tailored advice how your issue can be solved in the most cost and time efficient manner
-
Handle your complaint while it goes through the Council’s complaint procedure
-
Provide advocacy support if needed

Why choose Care Concern Solutions over a Solicitor?

At Care Concern Solutions, we specialize in providing expert advice and advocacy for service users (or their carers) who are facing issues with the adult social care they receive, including disputes with local councils, financial assessments, and care needs assessments. While we are not solicitors, our deep and extensive knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and Community Care Legislation - gained from investigating over 800 adult social care complaints across England - makes us a highly effective and much more affordable alternative to traditional solicitors.

Our expertise, combined with a more affordable and personalized service, offers you a better solution than relying on an expensive solicitor for social care disputes. Even more so, most community care disputes do not need to be resolved by going to court, as suing social services is a very expensive and often needless way of trying to resolve a dispute.

Why we are better than a solicitor

Many solicitors who handle community care law cases do not have the specific and extensive hands-on experience that Care Concern Solutions brings to the table. Over the years, I have personally encountered many cases where solicitors took an excessive amount of time, writing letter after letter to the council, and charged very high fees, without delivering the outcome their clients were hoping for. Unlike many solicitors, we focus exclusively on adult social services and care in the community, allowing us to act more quickly and efficiently. As such, we are confident that our support and advice will be more effective, and be better value for money than that provided by a social care solicitor or community care solicitor.

Our service is not only more affordable than hiring community care solicitors, but it's also more targeted. We specialize in adult social care issues, care home costs, social care charging, and navigating the complexities of the Care Act 2014 and the Care and Support Statutory Guidance. This allows us to provide you with more effective support in areas such as:

-
Challenging council decisions on care hours or care needs assessments
-
Disputes over care home charges and financial assessments
-
Advocacy in securing the right level of care and support, whether at home or in a care home
-
Addressing unfair social care charging and care home costs
-
Ensuring compliance with adult social services legislation, including the Care Act 2014.
Expertise that solicitors don’t always provide

Many solicitors lack the day-to-day experience in adult social care disputes that we have gained by handling such a high volume of cases. This gives us a unique edge in understanding the intricacies of council decisions, care assessments, and care in the community. We know how councils operate, and we have as such an in-depth understanding of how to challenge them effectively.

Unlike solicitors who may take on a broad range of legal cases, our focus is solely on the complex world of adult social care and support. From care home costs to financial assessments, we provide tailored, expert advice based on your unique circumstances, ensuring you get the care and support you're entitled to.
Affordable, Effective Solutions for Social Care Disputes.

Hiring a community care solicitor can be expensive and time-consuming. Many of our clients come to us after experiencing delays and high fees with solicitors who were unable to achieve the desired outcome. At Care Concern Solutions, we believe that high-quality, expert advice should be accessible to everyone who needs it; not just those who can afford expensive legal fees.

We offer a cost-effective alternative to traditional solicitors, with a clear focus on securing the right care and support for you. Our in-depth understanding of the Care Act 2014 and Community Care Law means we can act quickly to resolve your issues, whether you're disputing social care charging, care home fees, or seeking a reassessment of your care needs.
